  1. Section 366 of Indian Penal Code- Kidnapping, abducting or compelling a woman into marriage or sexual intercourse with a person is an offence which is punishable by imprisonment for upto 10 years, maybe with a fine. This applies to people who abuse their authority or use criminal intimidation for the above purpose.
  2. Section 366 A- Making a girl child go to a place, with the intention of using her for illicit sexual intercourse with a person, is punishable with imprisonment which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine.
  3. Section 366 B- Importation of girl from a foreign country, where the girl is under the age of twenty one and the intention is to use her for illicit sexual intercourse with a person shall be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to ten years and shall also be liable to fine.
  4. Section 370- Buying or disposing of any person as a slave: Whoever imports, exports, removes, buys, sells or disposes of any person as a slave, or accepts, receives or detains against his will any person as a slave, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to seven years, and shall also be liable to fine.
  5. Section 370 A- Whoever, knowingly or having reason to believe that a minor has been trafficked, engages such minor for sexual exploitation in any manner, shall be punished with rigorous imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than five years, but which may extend to seven years, and shall also be liable to fine.
  6. Section 372- Selling a minor for purposes of prostitution, either currently or most likely some time in the future, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to ten years, and shall be liable to fine.
  7. Section 373- Buying a minor for purposes of prostitution, either currently or most likely some time in the future, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine.
